"Fuck of the Century"

okay.

so those who already saw this film will know what am i talking about...

since this was realeased... on video, and my tita heini send us one in 1994, my cousins and i really wanted to see this film, 1993... i was still in grade three then... so i really cannot watch any "R" rated film... of course.... the more yopu censor the more it becomes interesting, but we never got the chance of watching these kind of films, once we were allowed to watch sliver, also a sharon stone starrer movie, but sadly the adults did not let us see the "fence scene" then we had another chance with "Indecent Proposal" with demi moore... sadly it was not what we expected... nothing really "interesting" in particular.

we have forgotten about the 1993 film, until recently... a sequel was made... which was disappointing since we have not seen the first/original movie... so i searched and searched Quiapo fopr a copy... and thankfully i found one...

and boy... the more than a decade wait for that movie was worth it...

Basic Instinct is a really really hot movie.... and i mean HOT... and psychologists never looked this hot... good and bad at the same time... did i mention she is also a novelist...

i will never look at Micheal Douglas and Sharon Stone the same way again...

12 na pala...

haha nagulat lang ako na 12 posts na pala, sabi ko pa naman na feeling ko madali lang ako magsasawa dito... pero tingnan mo naman dumami na... yun lang.... hahaha.... natatawa ako sa sarili ko....

Retro-activity no. 1

as much as i would like to make this BS, (thats for bull shit and blogspot, depending on your perspective) as having a prospective effect, but i would would to publish my first BS writing, which was my "Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros" experience, i was so overwhelmed with this experience i started typing and sent them to aubrey in the US, (miss you, aubrey) and a couple of friends, okay, maybe a couple of dozens friends, and because they are doing a remastered version of the movie, might as well, publishd this once again... hehe... this was the original letter i sent to aubrey... subject: "my maximo oliveros experience"

TANGINA!!!!! and i use that very seldom and use that only when i mean it... this story will shock you... tuesday na here, so last day ng showing ng "Ang pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros" i skipped from class, hello!!! its a movie, its protocol for me, or us, to skip class when a very important movie is on the line, hehehe... so i missed the 7:10 movie, so i opted for the last full show, which was 9:20, i got in at around 9:05, just in time, since the national anthem was still playing, i was seated at seat number m-17, second to the last row, i settled in, and there was this group who was noisy, you know me, i get a little cranky inside theaters with noisy, obnoxious people... but that is not the story... (the movie was fantabulous!!!) skip the movie comments,

you know, we have this habit of seating until the last letters of the title credits have been shown, there were a few who were still seating when they opened the lights, as i was standing up, i noticed two boys whom i thought was wearing a high school uniform, which i thought very young to be in a last full show, but i was mistaken since they were not wearing uniforms, they were twins... guess who? nathan lopez and his twin brother gabby, (maximo oliveros himself)... kilala mo ako, mr. startruck and staring is a very common habit of mine, so i stared... i cant believe that i saw the movie with maximo oliveros himself, i went to the comfort room, texting some of my friends, when i went out, nathan lopez and some of his companions were already going down the escalator, so i went with them, until the father of nathan (wearing a white "maxi" shirt) called this guy "mond" so i proceeded, i was riding the escalator, when this mond guy said, "mich, wag ka muna umuwi, maaga pa"

Humarap ang babae, at nagulat ako, nasa harap ko ay isang lalaki, at sa harap niya ay isang babae, ang babae na tinatawag ni mond ay si MICHIKO YAMAMOTO... yup, the screenwriter of maginifico at maximo... (Ahhhhhh!!!!!) then the guy in front of me turned and it was PING MEDINA (who played kuya bogs in the movie) since mond (who turned out to be RAYMOND LEE (the producer of maximo)) was standing right behind me, both michiko and ping were also looking at me... ako di ko mapigilan na ngumiti, pero hawak ko yung bibig ko, tapos both ping and michiko were smiling awkwardly at me, i dont know... shocksssssss

im sure, namumula ako ng sobra... dahil nararamdaman ko ang init sa mukha ko... as in sobrang init, na hawak ko pa yung ibig ko kasi kung hindi baka sumigaw na ako ng sobrang lakas, di ko na kaya, sobrang overwhelming, sobrang surreal ng feeling... starstruck talaga... hello, the best filipino movie of 2005 and and i saw the movie with the producer, writer, actors and i dont know what more... and to think they were seating right behind me (last row)...
tumawag ako sa kaklase ko dahil kung hindi baka sumabog ako...
kahit nung nasa bus na ako... di ko kinaya dahil di pa rin ako makahinga... na sobrang bilis ng takbo ng puso ko... na gusto ko sumigaw

whew...

grabe talaga...

my "ang pagdadalaga ni maximo oliveros" day

sayang, masiyado ako na stratruck, sayang dapat nakapag pa-autograph ako or congraulated them or thanked them or even adored them...
haay, till next time...

First Day High

okay, okay,

so i went to see this film, i thought it was interesting, i mean, where else can you find a TV commercial stretched to be a full length movie? only here in the Philippines... right? but i do remeber a movie made into a commercial, that's a coke commerial, with an Indiana Jones scene...

but what really got me interested with this movie was the fact that it was directed by Mario Cornejo, one of the directors of the movie Big Time, one of the funniest movies i've seen... so this must be good... and i was not that disappointed...

what happens when an independent director makes a commercial movie (pun intended) this movie is the answer... but we have to give it to mario, only a good director can pull this one off...
very thin plot, predictable story line, half-baked actors, (and some are not even well-made doughs) but somehow, it was fun to watch...

it was fun seeing patty laurel, she can act, or she's not trying to hard... rich alvarez did a break dancing, it was almost disturbing, it was freakish seeing a basketball star do that... and charles lejano, very Nice Guy High... (his fiorst rexona character) and Kat Alano was also surprisingly good... but i really have to mention Carla Humpries and Denise Laurel... they were so believable, maybe because in real life they are really sosy high, because they know their roles very well... they were living the characters... (denise LAurel was the girl dancing in the close up commercial, with carlo celdran, and bart guingona as judges/jurors)

one thing, i want to really get the bottom of, was that ate sienna of batibot? the one who kissed kuya bodhie of batibot? i think the actress was familiar but could not remember, then i saw her nme, it was sienna, and if you saw BIG TIME you'll understand why i made the connection... mario and monster have this strange love for pop culture, what if mario searched for ate sienna and gave her a role, a role opposite kuya bodjie... i dont think i will be able to sleep tonight because of this... imagine, kuya bojie kissing ate sienna, and im a BATIBOT kid!!!!

but cherri pie picache, no matter how small the role is, you can be assured that she will give justice and 101 percent to such role... she was good, so was Micheal Demesa... Johnny Delgado's role was really funny, it was like Mike Demesa's role in Big Time, almost cartoonic... but very very funny... bembol roco's role was suppose to be the one that keeps the whole story together, being the investigator and another... but you have to see the movie to find his other roles.

the most effective actor of the five would be... of course, Maja Salvador, and she has the most interesting story of the five... when we saw the casting, we figured why Maja was sosy high? her roles should stick to the "susan africa roles" but when you see the film you'll understand why she was chosen...

what i really like about this movie is the fact that they are not trying to sell the jokes too much, or it is not hard selling, (very mario cornejo), he will inject humor into it, and those who get it, gets it, and those who do not, are stupid, hehe, kidding... but i think it is more of the generation difference... i was sitting next to an old man, its either he is not getting it or he does not think they were jokes to begin with...

it is clear that it is the High School Musical rip-off, and i hated the fact that they made the movie a spring board for kim chiu's singing career... which i wish shold never happen...

but the greatest "mystery" to me is, the fact micheal de mesa is fantastic actor, gina alajar is a fantastic actress, how can two of the best actors of philippine cinema produce a very bland actor for a son... that boy cant act... i dont kow if he will learn, but hopefully very soon, his acting is not even tolerable... he is becoming carlos agassi...

try niyo lang manuod ng mga ganitong pelikula... masaya din naman

Superman in Manila...

Manila, 10:55 p.m.

Superman, went to Manila, or was sighted in Manila at 10:55 p.m., with no dates given, but was almost Christmas, I think…

we, (my cousins and I) were planning to see the superman movie SUPERMAN RETURNS, on IMAX theater, and no where else… and since it was sold out for weeks, we postponed it, and postponed it, and postponed it, until it was not showing anymore, in any cinema in Manila… the reason why we chose IMAX in MoA, was the idea that seeing the Superman movie on just another theater would really be dull, unlike, if you tell your friends you saw Superman on IMAX theater, it beats any other movie experience, right?...

but it was all talk… we ended up, watching it on fake pirated-straight-from-Quiapo DVD… well, then those who saw it , months earlier and on bigger screens would surely have the better experience then what we have…

although a lot were saying the movie was dragging, to me it was not, It was plain old back to basics story telling… the plot was a little dry, I mean, Lex Luthor surely could have thought of a better plan than that… a continent? o please… I was waiting for the role of the old 70’s Lois Lane, but was disappointed that she played someone who was dying and was fooled by Lex Luthor… Brian Singer could have given her a much better role than that… she deserves better…

but what I really love about the movie was its retrospective approach, which was of course, deliberately done, I mean those poses that made Christopher Reeve who he is are back… old pictures of the original cast members in the kent farm, and of course Marlon Brando…

And thank God, they brought the geeky Clark Kent, I really hated the Dean Cain’s and Tom Welling’s portrayal… Clark Kent is geeky, and should stay that way forever…

Lois Lane was really pretty… prettier than Teri Hatcher and that Noelle girl of the 70’s, who looks like Courtney Cox, by the way…

Does James Marsden, always have to play the martyr in all stories, remember The Notebook? haay… not to mention, allowing his character to die in the X-MEN… c’mon…

but, the movie was really great…
